Who We Are
Daniel and Lara Fury of Salem, Massachusetts are historians, authors, and paranormal investigators with over 20 years of experience. They have been consultants and experts for programs on the Travel Channel, History Channel, for various historic sites and house museums, and have lectured on numerous subjects relating to both history and the paranormal.
Our Mission
As the Paranormal investigation field has grown, certain harmful stereotypes and practices have become pervasive. From the common reliance on the "Native Burial Ground" stereotype for hauntings, to the antagonistic style of aggressively provoking spirits, and worst of all in our opinion, the absolute lack of respect for the true history of the sites being investigated, these actions do more harm than any good. Black Cat Paranormal Consultation is offered as a service to improve the sensitivity and historical research practices for both new Paranormal Investigation teams, and established companies looking to improve their communication with the sites they are visiting and their audiences.
The service is also offered to organizations and historic sites that wish to offer Paranormal tourism in the form of ghost tours or wish to have a set process ready for investigators who request to visit for themselves or record a program.
Our Services
Black Cat offers two distinct services, the first is a broad spectrum training on "do's and don'ts" of paranormal investigation, basic principles of local historical research, and training in rethinking your language and practices during investigations. The second is a more specific consultation to meet the needs of organizations and local sites and teams that wish to establish a set process to have in place for all investigators who visit their sites, or host their own tours and events.

These are paid services on a sliding scale based on the size and scope of your organization or team, and quotes are provided up-front before services are provided, so you do not have to guess at any hidden costs or fees. We are happy to discuss options and custom plans for your unique needs!
What We Are Not!
We do not provide exorcism services, though we can make referrals to trusted professionals in that field whom we have worked with previously. Our service is on the professional side of Paranormal investigation, though we can offer free consultation to the private sector to determine what services we can provide!
